It was on March 9, 2017 when the RIAA’s Latin program awarded a diamond certification to this particular content. The certification is a testament to its success in the US market, having sold 600,000 units. Each unit represents either one paid download or 150 streams.
The song “Chantaje” has secured the top spot on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and managed to reach #51 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. The music video has gained over 800 million views. The Latin program of RIAA, which was introduced in 2001, is dedicated to highlighting the sales of Latin music titles that have more than 50% Spanish language content.
